Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film OMG. In the original film, Paresh Rawal's character filed a case against God, with Akshay Kumar portraying the role of Lord Krishna. In this sequel, Akshay Kumar has embraced the character of Lord Shiva, and his captivating appearance has piqued the curiosity of audiences. Adding to the buzz around the film, an old statement made by Akshay Kumar on the subject of religion has resurfaced on the internet.

For the unversed, during the release of the film Sooryavanshi, Akshay Kumar stated in an interview that he believed in only one religion, and that was "being an Indian." "I don’t believe in any religion. I only believe in being Indian and that is what the film also shows. The idea of being an Indian and not about being a Parsi or a Hindu or a Muslim, we haven’t looked at it on the basis of the religion," Akshay told PTI in an interview.

With the release of the teaser for OMG 2, fans are voicing their concerns, expressing hope that the film will not inadvertently offend religious sentiments. This apprehension is particularly amplified in light of the recent controversies surrounding Adipurush.

Akshay Kumar takes on the role of Lord Shiva, as depicted in the recently unveiled teaser and Pankaj Tripathi, a keen devotee towards his deities, however, finds himself in the midst of a haphazard despite believing in gods.

The film is written and directed by Amit Rai. It also stars Yami Gautam, Arun Govil, and Govind Namdev in pivotal roles.
