Oppenheimer Gem Cillian Murphy Wishes To Play Ken Doll In Barbie’s Sequel

'Oppenheimer' and 'Barbie' were two of the most hyped Hollywood films of 2023 which saw a blockbuster opening in India over the years. Both films witnessed a major box office clash with 'Oppenheimer' winning the first place, however, Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' is also breaking several records at the box office giving tough competition to 'Oppenheimer’.

However, several people thought that Cillian Murphy, the lead of 'Oppenheimer' could have easily pulled off Ken's role in 'Barbie' which was perfectly essayed by Ryan Gosling in the film. Cillian Murphy's chiselled face and charming features would be perfect for a Ken doll. According to a report in India Today, the actor was asked if he would be willing to play the male lead if there will be a 'Barbie's sequel in the future. To which he said, "Sure! Let's read a script. Let's have a conversation. I can't wait to see the movie, I think it's great for cinema, you know, you've got all these great movies happening this summer."

'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' both have been performing well at the box office in India with 'Barbie' getting a 90 per cent review by Rotten Tomatoes, and 'Oppenheimer' getting 94 per cent.

'Barbie' is directed by Greta Gerwig and features Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Emma Mackey, Dua Lipa, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, and Issa Rae in lead roles.

On the other hand, 'Oppenheimer' is directed by Christopher Nolan and features Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, and Matt Damon in lead roles.
