Oppenheimer Vs Barbie Box Office Collection: Cillian Murphy Led Biopic Continues To Beat Margot Robbie’s Doll-Comedy Behind

'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' stood out to be one of the biggest Hollywood releases in 2023. Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' and Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' saw a smashing box office clash on July 21 and are churning high numbers in theaters. Both the films are doing extremely well at the box office with Margot Robbie starrer earning higher numbers globally than Cillian Murphy led 'Oppenheimer.'

Margot Robbie's 'Barbie' managed to give a tough competition to Christopher Nolan's film, however in India the film is running behind 'Oppenheimer.' On day 7 the film minted Rs 2 crore and is close to crossing Rs 30 crore mark. The total collection of the film in the Indian market is around Rs 27.35 crore.

On the other hand, 'Oppenheimer' is also performing well and has collected Rs 5.25 crore taking the total collection in India to Rs 73.15 crore in the Indian market. The film saw a huge start in its first weekend and started off with accounting Rs 14.5 crore on its opening day.

'Barbie' is based on Mattel's doll story about the original iconic Barbie dolls dealing with the modern day issues. The film also features Ryan Gosling essaying the role of Ken doll in the film. Meanwhile, 'Oppenheimer' is based upon the father of the 'atom bomb', Robert J Oppenheimer and is a mind-boggling biopic. 'Oppenheimer' features Cillian Murphy in the lead role. The film also stars Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, and Matt Damon in pivotal roles.
