'Oppenheimer' starring Cillian Murphy and Barbie featuring Margot Robbie stood out as one of the biggest Hollywood releases of this year. Both the films are doing extremely well with Oppenheimer ruling in India, and Barbie ruling globally.

As' Oppenheimer' emerged to be the first choice for viewers in India. The film managed to cross Rs 50 crore at the Indian box office in five days minting around Rs 6.25 crore on day 5. Christopher Nolan's directorial showcased a great trend throughout the first weekend and thus tried to maintain the same entering into its first week.

On the other hand, 'Barbie' gave tough competition to' Oppenheimer' worldwide and in India is creating history. The film opened at Rs 5 crore in India and collected around Rs 2.30 crore on day 5.

Interestingly, both films have been slammed by a section of Indian viewers for not matching up to their expectations after the raging buzz ahead of their release. The scene of Cillian Murphy having s*x with Florence Pugh as he holds the holy Bhagavad Gita to read to her allegedly hurt the sentiments of many.

Similarly, in 'Barbie', parents are not happy to witness the film having cuss words and sexual connotations. However, the film had been provided with PG-13 certification which meant some material or scenes in the film might be inappropriate for children under the age of 13.
