OTT Movies And Web Series Releases This Week (August 19 to 25): Digital platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema and others have changed the experience of watching movies and shows these days. The audience can now watch the content of their choice anytime and anywhere in different genres and languages. If you are eager to add more content to your watchlist, take a look at the list of watch movies and web series coming on the OTT platforms this week including 'Kalki 2898 AD', 'Angry Young Men' and more.

1. Angry Young Men

'Angry Young Men' is a docu-series, that will showcase the brilliant partnership of writers Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, known as Salim-Javed, in the Hindi cinema. The duo worked together in 24 movies including 'Sholay', Zanjeer', 'Deewar', 'Seeta Aur Geeta', 'Trishul', 'Yaadon Ki Baaraat', 'Haathi Mere Saathi', among others. 'Angry Young Men' will release on Prime Video on August 20.

2. Kalki 2898 AD

'Kalki 2898 AD' is set in the post-apocalyptic world and focuses on people trying to save the unborn child of SUM-80, a lab subject. The movie stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. Kamal Haasan is seen as the main antagonist with Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Pasupathy, and Anna Ben seen in pivotal roles. The movie will release on Netflix on August 22 in Hindi and will release on Prime Video in other languages on the same date.

3. Pachinko 2

'Pachinko' is based on the 2017 novel by Min Jin Lee and its first season is streaming on Apple TV+. The series revolves around four generations of a Korean immigrant family and how their journey takes place in Korea, Japan and America. It stars Youn Yuh-jung, Lee Min-ho, Kim Min-ha, and Jin Ha in the lead roles. The series will release on Apple TV+ on August 23, 2024.

4. Raayan

'Raayan' revolves around a young man, who seeks revenge after his family gets killed and it leads him through the criminal underworld. The movie stars Dhanush, S J Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Saravanan. It will reportedly release on Prime Video on August 23, 2024.

5. The Frog

'The Frog' revolves around an owner, who rents a room to a ghostly woman who arrives as a guest. Things take a turn when supernatural things start happening in the house. The series stars Kim Yoon-seok, Yoon Kye-sang, Go Min-si, and Lee Jung-eun in the lead roles. Its first episode will release on Netflix on August 23, 2024.

6. Blood For Dust

'Blood For Dust' revolves around a salesman crushed under the weight of providing for his family but later gets caught up in the centre of a drug cartel. He gets involved in the risky business as past secrets and flames come back to haunt him. The movie stars Kit Harrington, Scoot McNairy and Nora Zehetner. It will release on Lionsgate Play on August 23.
