OTT Releases For 90s Kids: As Bollywood continues to evolve with each passing day, there are certain films that remain deeply cherished in our hearts. There are certain movies that evoke a sense of nostalgia for our childhood days and are truly beautiful in their own right. For those of us who grew up in the '90s and are reading this, the following Bollywood films including DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai To Maine Pyar Kiya will forever hold a special place in our hearts and will always be iconic. Well, they are now available on OTT and will transport you on a delightful journey down memory lane, rekindling the friendship, sweetness and comedian child within us.

DDLJ (Amazon Prime Video)

In 1995, a quintessential Bollywood romantic film was released, directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles, with supporting performances by Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, and others, the movie revolves around Raj (SRK) and Simran (Kajol). They meet while traveling through Europe and fall deeply in love. However, Simran's conservative father (Amrish Puri) has already arranged her marriage to someone else. Determined to win her father's approval, Raj embarks on a mission to win over Simran's family and ultimately marry her.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun (Amazon Prime Video)

Bollywood musical romantic drama film released in 1994, directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film features an ensemble cast including Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Mohnish Bahl, Renuka Shahane, Anupam Kher, and others. The story revolves around Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha (Madhuri Dixit), who belong to two different families but find love amidst a wedding celebration. Their romance blossoms, but when tragedy strikes, they must navigate familial expectations and obligations to honour their love.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (Netflix)

Romantic drama film released in 1998, marking the directorial debut of Karan Johar, was produced by Yash Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, the film features a star-studded cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles, with supporting performances by Salman Khan, Sana Saeed, and Anupam Kher. The story follows the journey of Rahul Khanna (SRK) and Anjali Sharma (Kajol), who are best friends in college. Rahul is unaware of Anjali's feelings for him until he meets Tina Malhotra (Rani Mukerji), a new student who captures his heart. The film explores themes of friendship, love, and loss as Rahul navigates his relationships with both Anjali and Tina.

Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (Disney+ Hotstar)

Sports drama directed by Mansoor Khan and produced by Nasir Hussain, stars Aamir Khan, Ayesha Jhulka, and Deepak Tijori in lead roles, with supporting performances by Pooja Bedi, Mamik Singh, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. It revolves around the rivalry between two affluent colleges, Rajput and Model, and their annual cycling race. Sanjaylal, Aamir, is a carefree and mischievous student from Rajput College who becomes determined to win the cycling race against the elite students of Model College.

Andaz Apna Apna (Netflix)

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Vinay Kumar Sinha, the film features an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor. It revolves around two young men, Amar and Prem, portrayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan respectively, who dream of getting rich by marrying a wealthy heiress. They both encounter Raveena and Karisma, two wealthy young women, and vie for their affections. Along the way, they become embroiled in a hilarious series of misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and comedic situations.

Maine Pyar Kiya (Netflix)

Released in 1989, this romantic drama film directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions marked the debut of Salman Khan in a leading role, alongside Bhagyashree in her inaugural performance. The narrative centers around Prem (portrayed by Salman), the affluent businessman's son, who develops feelings for Suman (played by Bhagyashree), the daughter of his father's associate. Despite encountering familial resistance stemming from their disparate social standings, Prem and Suman persevere in their affection for one another.

Hum Saath-Saath Hain (Prime Video)

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, the iconic film features an ensemble cast including Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Mohnish Bahl, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Karisma Kapoor. Hum Saath-Saath Hain is known for its portrayal of traditional Indian family values. It revolves around the trials and tribulations faced by the members of the joint family of Ramkishen aka Alok Nath and Mamta, played by Reema Lagoo.
