OTT Releases This Week: October is filled with engaging content on various OTT platforms which definitely be able to keep you in front of the camera. From blockbuster theatrical releases such as 'Gadar 2' and 'Kushi' to brand new OTT releases such 'Khufiya' and 'Mumbai Diaries' season 2, a plethora of genres are set to slate the various OTT platforms such as Jio Cinema, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar and more. Let's take a look. 

Gadar 2

The film is directed by Anil Sharma and stars Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Sharma, and Ameesha Patel in the lead role. ‘Gadar 2’ is set to release on October 6 on Zee5 and revolves around the plotline of Sunny Deol’s character reviving his role and re-entering Pakistan to save his son, who has been imprisoned in Pakistan and tortured unnecessarily by the Pakistani soldiers.

Loki 2

The popular film of Tom Hiddleston, ‘Loki 2’ is making its comeback on October 6 on Disney+Hotstar. The film is directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, and revolves around his mission to find Sylvie, Ravonna Renslayer, and Miss Minutses. It is one of the most awaited releases this week. The film also stars Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan, and Owen Wilson.

Mumbai Diaries Season 2

A team of skilled doctors deal with the traumatic challenge of facing the struggle to save lives during the Mumbai 2005 floods. The series is directed by Nikkhil Advani and stars Mohit Raina, Konkana Sen Sharma, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Natasha Bhardwaj, Satyajeet Dubey, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Tina Desai, Prakash Belawadi, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Ridhi Dogra, Balaji Gauri, and Sonali Kulkarni in pivotal roles. The series will stream from October 6 on Amazon Prime Video.

Khufiya

Vishal Bharadwaj and Tabu’s collaboration can never disappoint you. The dynamic duo are set to make a promising return with ‘Khufiya’ set to release on October 5 on Netflix. The film is based on Amar Bhushan’s novel titled, ‘Escape To Nowhere’ and also features Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabi in the lead roles.

Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty

Written and directed by Mahesh Babu Pacigolla, the film marks the long comeback of Anushka Shetty, and also stars Naveen Polishetty in the lead roles. The story talks about the importance of companionship in today’s modern dating world and is set to release on Netflix on October 5

Insidious - The Red Door

The horrifying trailer of the film marks the fifth installment in the ‘Insidious franchise. The film features Ty Simpkins, Patrick Wilson, and Sinclair Daniel in the lead roles, and will release on Amazon Prime Video on October 6.
