Kangana Ranaut led ‘Tejas’ is all set to release this month and is helmed by Sarvesh Mewara. The teaser of the film was released today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and revealed Kangana Ranaut as an airforce officer named Tejas Gill. Taking on the sky and fighting for her country, the makers earlier confirmed that the film is not a biopic. The teaser also revealed the official release date of the film avoiding a clash with Tiger Shroff-Kriti Sanon’s ‘Ganpath.’ The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role.
With the teaser launch, the team revealed the new release date. Now, the film will hit theatres on October 27. Ahead of the teaser release, Kangana Ranaut shared a new poster of the film and wrote, “Jab bhi baat desh ki aayegi, woh saari hadein paar kar jaayegi!" In the poster, she can be seen wearing a uniform and heading into the battlefield. She also shared the teaser and wrote, “Ready to take off for the love of our nation! Bharat ko chhedoge toh chhodenge nahi.”

The film has been in the pipeline for over three years now and was originally slated to release in December 2020, but was then revealed that the film was supposed to hit theatres in August 2020. According to a report in News18, Kangana Ranaut said, “Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot. I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday. Our film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes … Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie (Ronnie Screwvala, producer)."
‘Tejas’ was earlier released on October 20, however the dates were taken by the Vikas Bahl directorial, ‘Ganpath.’ The team of ‘Ganpath’ also released the official teaser of the film on Friday. Now, with the release of ‘Tejas’ teaser, it is confirmed that the two films are not colliding.

Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s professional front, the actress will next be seen in ‘Emergency.’ The actor is also the director of the film. ‘Emergency’ also stars Anupam Kher, and Shreyas Talpade in the lead role. In the film, Kangana Ranaut will be essaying the role of late Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi.
