The popularity of watching movies and web series on streaming platforms is on the rise as the audience is able to binge-watch the content of their choice in the comfort of their homes. The OTT platforms like Netflix, SonyLiv, Prime Video and others have provided good quality content to the viewers by releasing movies and shows for all kinds of viewers. If you are looking forward to adding more content to your watchlist, take a look at the list of the most-awaited movies and web series releasing this week.
1. Charlie Chopra and The Mystery of Solang Valley - SonyLiv (September 27)
'Chopra and The Mystery of Solang Valley' stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Priyanshu Painyuli, Naseeruddin Shah, Lara Dutta, Neena Gupta in the lead roles with Ratna Pathak Shah, Gulshan Grover, Paoli Dam, Vivaan Shah, Imaad Shah. The series is based on the popular crime novel 'The Sittaford Mystery' by Agatha Christie.
2. Hostel Daze Season 4 - Prime Video (September 27)
'Hostel Daze Season 4' will focus on friends Akanksha, Chirag, Rupesh aka Jaat, Jatin Kishore aka Jhantoo, Nabomita, and Ankit as they enter their final year of college and gear up for the real world. Starring Utsav Sarkar, Luv, Shubham Gaur, Nikhil Vijay and Ahsaas Channa, the six-episode season four is directed by Abhinav Anand.
3. King Of Kotha - Disney+ Hotstar (Seotember 28)
The plot of 'King Of Kotha' focuses on Kannan bhai and his gang, who are powerful people in a crime-infested town but Inspector Shahul tactfully plots the return of the 'King' to combat this reign and seek revenge. The movie stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role with Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod Jose, Shammi Thilakan, Saran, Shanthi Krishna and Anikha Surendran in pivotal roles.
4. Kumari Srimathi - Prime Video (September 28)
'Kumari Srimathi' revolves around a 30-year-old woman, who tries to challenge the taboos and stereotypes of her village by living her life on her own terms. The web series stars Nithya Menon in the lead role with Nirupam Paritala, Gautami, Thiruveer, Talluri Rameswari, Naresh, and Murali Mohan in pivotal roles.
5. Agent - SonyLiv (September 29)
'Agent' revolves around a spy, who goes on a mission to unravel the truth about a dangerous terrorist organization but has to deal with the horrors of a mysterious past. The OTT release date of 'Agent' got delayed several times but will finally be released on SonyLiv this week. The movie stars Akhil Akkineni, Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya and Vikramjeet Virk.
6. Choona - Netflix (September 29)
'Choona' revolves around six small-time average joes, who come up with the plan of a heist to take revenge on a powerful politician, Shukla. The web series stars Jimmy Shergil, Aashim Gulati, Vikram Kochhar, Chandan Roy, Namit Das, Gyanendra Tripathi, Atul Srivastava, Monika Panwar and Niharika Lyra Dutt.
7. Gen V - Prime Video (September 29)
'Gen V' is the spin-off of the popular Prime Video series 'The Boys' and will focus on the students at Godolkin, who will put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking. Jessie T. Usher, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne will reprise their roles from 'The Boys' in 'Gen V'. For the unversed, 'The Boys' is set in a world where superpowered individuals are recognized as heroes by the general public and work for a powerful corporation known as Vought International that markets and monetizes them.
8. Tumse Na Ho Payega - Disney+ Hotstar (September 29)
'Tumse Na Ho Payega' stars Ishwak Singh, Mahima Makwana, Gaurav Pandey, Gurpreet Saini and Karan Jotwani in the lead role in the lead roles.
