Annapoorani OTT Release: Nilesh Krishnaa is the director of the beloved drama film Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food, starring Nayanthara. The film's themes include questioning gender roles, the politics of food and religion, passion against familial responsibility, and shattering conventional norms and social obstacles. Critics gave it mixed reviews when it debuted in theaters on December 1, 2023.

Annapoorani struggled at the box office, bringing in about Rs 4.55 crore in India and Rs 5.35 crore globally, despite its stellar cast and captivating plot. The movie brilliantly depicts her perseverance, determination, and battle to create her own identity while dispelling prejudices in a world where men predominate.

Annapoorani will begin releasing on JioHotstar, starting from October 1, 2025 in Hindi. The OTT platform will broadcast the inspirational drama, providing audience members who have been impatiently awaiting the chance to see the movie in their own tongue with the ideal opportunity. Annapoorani Cast And Plot Details

Annapoorani, the Goddess of Food is about a woman who comes from a family of Brahmin cooks who have been cooking for the Srirangam temple for many generations. She was brought up in a strict vegetarian household, yet she has a natural talent for cooking and wants to become India's best chef.

Nayanthara plays Annapoorani Rangarajan, while Jai plays Farhaan, Sathyaraj plays Chef Anand Sundarajan, Achyuth Kumar plays Rangarajan, Sachu plays Subbulakshmi Paati, Redin Kingsley plays Chinto Chin, TSR Srinivasan plays Chef Vadamaalai, Baby Samyuktha plays young Keerthi, Jagan Krishnan plays an audience member, Som Shekhar plays Santhosh, and Mohamed Irfan is a YouTuber.

The film's screenplay was written by Prasanth S. Annapoorani and Nilesh Krishnaa. Under the auspices of Zee Studios, Naad Studios, and Trident Arts, R. Ravindran and Jatin Sethi are producing The Goddess of Food. The movie's soundtrack was written by Thaman S.
