Bison Kaalamaadan OTT Release Update: The Tamil sports action drama film, Bison Kaalamaadan, starring Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles, was released in theatres on October 17. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the film emerged successful at the box office, despite receiving mixed reviews from the audience. Bison Kaalamaadan is based on the life of a kabaddi player and Arjuna awardee Manathi Ganesan. Amid the film's theatrical run, reports of its digital premiere surfaced online. Applause Entertainment, one of the producers of Bison Kaalamaadan, announced the OTT update on Instagram. Bison Kaalamaadan will stream on Netflix starting November 21 in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The post read, "Kabaddi might just be a sport to you. But to Kittan, Kabaddi is his entire life Watch Bison on Netflix, out 21 November."

What Is Story Of Bison Kaalamaadan About?

Set in rural Tamil Nadu during the 1990s, 'Bison Kaalamadan revolves around the story of a young man, named Kittan Velusamy, played by Dhruv, who fights to overcome violence plaguing his village. He faces caste prejudice, brutal feuds, and familial resistance while aspiring to succeed as a professional kabaddi player. Kittan dreams to represent India in kabaddi at the Asian Games, but has to deal with resistance from his protective father, Veluswamy (Pasupathy) and his love interest, Raani (played by Anupama). Bison Kaalamaadan explores themes of caste, identity, and sports aspiration. The film was mostly positively perceived by the moviegoers.

Written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, Bison Kaalamaadan is produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Seigal, Pa Ranjith and Aditi Anand under Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios. The film stars Dhruv and Anupama in the lead roles alongside Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan and Azhagam Perumal in pivotal roles. Bison Kaalamaadan has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 30 crore.

As per recent updates, Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran starrer has earned approximately Rs 47.1 crore India net and collected Rs 65.37 crore in the global market, according to Sacnilk.
