From The Hunt, which follows the real-life manhunt post the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi to Kaalidhar Laapata, starring Abhishek Bachchan, among others, there is something for everyone to watch on OTT. The Hunt- The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case
The Hunt is all set for its OTT release. The web series revolves around the real-life manhunt that took place after the assassination of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. The series is adapted from the bestselling book Ninety Days by investigative journalist Anirudhya Mitra. The Hunt will be available on Sony LIV from July 4, 2025.
Kaalidhar Laapata
Kaalidhar Laapata is written and directed by Madhumita. Starring Abhishek Bachchan as Kaalidhar, the film also features Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and child actor Daivik Bhagela. Produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment, it's a Hindi remake of Madhumita's 2019 Tamil film K.D. (Karuppu Durai). The film will premiere on ZEE5 on July 4, 2025.
Uppu Kappurambu
Uppu Kappurambu is a satirical comedy-drama film starring Suhas and Keerthy Suresh, directed by Ani I.V. Sasi and written by Vasanth Maringanti. The movie follows the story of a village facing a burial space shortage, leading to a series of comedic events. With a talented supporting cast, including Babu Mohan, Shatru and Talluri Rameshwari, the film promises a blend of humor and social commentary. The movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 4, 2025 in multiple languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
Madras Matinee
Madras Matinee is a heartwarming drama about an ageing sci-fi writer who overcomes his creative block by writing about Kannan, an auto-rickshaw driver. As the story unfolds, it transforms into a profound exploration of human life, blending imagination and reality with warmth and subtle humour, featuring Kaali Venkat, Sathyaraj and Roshini Haripriyan in key roles.
Madras Matinee will start streaming on Sun NXT from July 4, 2025.
