Kaylee Hottle's father, Joshua Hottle, confirmed the news on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. He shared the emotional update directly with supporters through a 23-minute livestream, communicating in American Sign Language (ASL).
Joshua explained that he was in Texas when he received an urgent call from authorities regarding the crash in Maryland. Shortly after, officials informed him that Kaylee's heart had stopped while she was being transported to the hospital.
Godzilla vs Kong Plot
Set five years after the events of King of the Monsters, giant creatures known as Titans roam the Earth, with Godzilla maintaining global balance. However, Godzilla mysteriously attacks an Apex Cybernetics facility, sparking fears that the titan has gone rogue.
To counter the threat, Monarch scientists move Kong out of his containment dome on Skull Island to locate his ancestral home in the subterranean Hollow Earth. They believe the realm holds an energy source powerful enough to combat an enraged Godzilla. Godzilla intercepts the ocean convoy, engaging in a brutal fight that forces humanity to fake Kong's death to survive.
Upon reaching the Hollow Earth entrance, Kong retrieves a glowing, energy-conducting battle-axe. Meanwhile, on the surface, investigators discover that Apex has secretly constructed Mechagodzilla, powered by the psychic skull of King Ghidorah. When the mechanized titan goes haywire and rampages through Hong Kong, Godzilla and Kong are forced to team up to defeat Mechagodzilla before going their separate ways.
