Gustaakh Ishq, starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is all set for its OTT release. The film is set in 1998 and follows Pappan, a man searching for meaning through art. Gustaakh Ishq has been directed by Vibhu Puri and produced by Manish Malhotra and Dinesh Malhotra. It also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Natasha Rastogi, Jaya Bhattacharya, Sharib Hashmi, Zain Khan Durrani and Faisal Rashid pivotal roles. Here is when and where you can watch it online.

Gustaakh Ishq is all set to stream on JioHotstar. The film will start streaming from January 27, 2026.

About the movie: Originally titled Ul Jalool Ishq, the film was later renamed Gustaakh Ishq: Kuch Pehle Jaisa, with the new title officially announced on April 16, 2025, alongside its first poster. The film had its gala premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on November 24, 2025, before hitting theatres on November 28, 2025.

Filming took place across Amritsar and Delhi. Officially announced on January 2, 2024, the shoot began on January 9, 2024, under its original title Ul Jalool Ishq. The film was shot in a continuous schedule that wrapped up on March 17, 2025, with additional scenes filmed in Delhi in April 2024. During production, Fatima Sana Shaikh reportedly suffered an epileptic seizure episode.
It features music composed by Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics by Gulzar, while Naseeruddin Shah lends his voice to poetry written by Ashok Singh Mizaz. Notably, the film marks Vijay Varma’s first big-screen release in five years.
