The opening episodes combine family drama, mystery and espionage to gradually unveil Kim's secret past and the dangerous enemies who drag him back into the life he thought he had left behind.
Agent Kim Reactivated Episodes 1 Recap: Kim Tries To Live An Ordinary Life
The series introduces Kim (played by So Ji-ub) as a quiet single father who works at Sangsaeng Savings Bank while raising his teenage daughter, Min-ji. He avoids trouble and lives a simple life, but subtle hints suggest he possesses extraordinary combat skills and discipline.
Min-ji, however, struggles at school as she is repeatedly bullied by Hye-ri, the influential daughter of wealthy businessman Mr. Ju. Their financial and social differences make Kim hesitate to confront the family directly.
A Father's Silence Creates Distance
After a fight between the girls, Kim is called to the school. Instead of defending Min-ji, he apologises to Hye-ri's parents to avoid creating bigger problems.
Feeling disappointed by what she believes is her father's cowardice, Min-ji refuses to return home with him. She decides to stay with a friend and later disappears after being lured to an isolated location through a fake message sent using fellow student Nam-hoon's phone.
