Mahavatar Narsimha On OTT: Mahavatar Narsimha, a mythological animated movie, surprised everyone with its performance in cinemas. Released in multiple languages, the movie has impressed viewers with its strong storytelling and powerful visuals. Despite tough competition from other big films like Saiyaara and Hari Hara Veera Mallu, it continues to attract audiences, especially in the Hindi-speaking markets. Backed by the popular Kannada production house Hombale Films, the film has truly struck a chord with viewers across the country.As the film continues its successful run in theatres, there’s growing curiosity about its digital release.
Mahavatar Narsimha movie, according to a report in India.com, might stream on JioHotstar. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the report states that there’s a 50% possibility that the platform will acquire the OTT rights. Given that JioHotstar’s previous animated mythological shows like The Legend of Hanuman have done very well, the streaming platform is reportedly keen to add Mahavatar Narsimha to its content line-up.
Meanwhile, another report in Filmibeat states that the movie may premiere on OTT after an eight-week theatrical window, which is the standard release period for many films today. “Hombale Films team is on cloud nine after the success of their latest project, which is not only visually appealing but also entertaining. The movie has managed to strike a chord with the audience upon its release despite no hype or marketing promotions. The film is doing quite well in the Hindi markets, and hence, there is growing demand for its digital rights," the reported added.
What Is Mahavatar Narsimha Movie About?
Directed by Ashwin Kumar, Mahavatar Narsimha is based on the legendary tale of Hiranyakashipu, a demon king who considers himself god after gaining immense power. However, his own son, Prahlad, remains a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu. Angered by his son’s faith, Hiranyakashipu tries to punish him, but Vishnu intervenes by taking the powerful half-man, half-lion avatar of Narasimha to save Prahlad and defeat evil. The film was released in 2D and 3D formats and made available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, helping it reach a wider audience.
