Upcoming Most-Awaited Hindi Movies On OTT In August: Some of the most-awaited Hindi movies are all set to make their much-anticipated OTT debut. From Maa, starring Kajol in the lead role, to Naveen Kasturia and Mouni Roy's Salakaar, among others, here is what you can watch on Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar and other streaming giants in August.

Maa

Maa is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language mythological horror film directed by Vishal Furia, starring Kajol, Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma. The movie is a spin-off to the 2024 film Shaitaan and is set in the same universe. The story revolves around Ambika, played by Kajol, a mother who visits her late husband's hometown with her daughter, only to discover a demonic curse that puts their lives in danger. Released on June 27, 2025, Maa received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, with praise for Kajol's performance and the storyline, but criticism for the script and VFX. The film explores themes of motherly love, mythology and horror, making it a one-of-a-kind watch in the Indian cinema landscape.

Salakaar

Salakaar is a gripping spy thriller series inspired by real events, revolving around a decorated spymaster who uses crucial intelligence to disarm enemy forces and safeguard national security. The story takes a thrilling turn when the spymaster discovers a top-secret nuclear facility in Pakistan, setting the stage for an intense drama. Set across two timelines, 1978 and 2025, the series follows the journey of an Indian spy as old enemies resurface and the past threatens to destroy the present.

Sitaare Zameen Par

Directed by RS Prasanna, written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh and introduces ten new faces. The film will be available on YouTube in India at Rs. 100, and in 38 international markets, including USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, among others, with pricing localised for each market.

Saare Jahan Se Accha

Saare Jahan Se Accha is an upcoming Hindi-language action-thriller series created by Gaurav Shukla, set to premiere on Netflix on August 13, 2025. The show revolves around a gripping tale of espionage, sacrifice and national duty, starring Pratik Gandhi as intelligence officer Vishnu Shankar.
