New OTT And Theatrical Releases This Weekend: Several new movies are now streaming on OTT, while a section of movies are yet to make their OTT debut. From Housefull 5, starring Akshay Kumar, to Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par and Garudan, starring Soori, among others, are now streaming on Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, Sun NXT and other streaming giants. On the other hand, Dhadak 2, Son of Sardaar 2 and Saiyaara are now running in theatres. So, here we have curated a list of new OTT and theatrical releases that you can watch this weekend:

Housefull 5 (Prime Video)

Housefull 5 stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nargis Fakri also take on pivotal roles. Housefull 5 hit the theatres on June 6, 2025 and received mixed reviews from fans and followers. The movie is now available to watch on Prime Video.

Thammudu (Netflix)

Nithiin's action drama film Thammudu is set to premiere on Netflix on August 1, 2025. Directed by Venu Sriram, the movie highlights the emotional bond between a brother and sister, showcasing the brother's unwavering dedication to protect his sister at all costs. The film features Nithiin alongside Sapthami Gowda, Laya and Varsha Bollamma in pivotal roles. The movie will be available to stream on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Dhadak 2 (Theatres)

Dhadak 2, a romantic drama film directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures, is an Indian Hindi-language film, which hit the theatres on August 1, 2025. Serving as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, it stars Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles.

3 BHK (Prime Video)

The Tamil film 3BHK starring Siddharth, R. Sarathkumar, Devayani and Meetha Raghunath, was released in theaters on July 4. Directed by Sri Ganesh, the movie depicts the struggles of a middle-class family in Chennai striving to own a home. While it received mixed reviews for its sentimental and cliched storytelling, the film's authentic portrayal of everyday struggles resonates with audiences. The movie is now streaming on Prime Video.

Sitaare Zameen Par (YouTube)

Directed by RS Prasanna, written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh and introduces ten new faces. The film will be available on YouTube in India at Rs. 100, and in 38 international markets, including USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, among others, with pricing localised for each market.

Garudan (Sun NXT

Garudan is a Tamil action drama film directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar and produced by Vetrimaaran and K. Kumar. The movie stars Soori, M. Sasikumar, and Unni Mukundan as main characters, with a supporting cast including Roshini Haripriyan, Sshivada, and Revathi Sharma. The story revolves around Sokkan, a loyal confidant to childhood friends Aadhi and Karuna, whose bond is tested by betrayal and survival instincts when a minister's greed sparks a chain of tragic events. Garudan is streaming on Sun NXT.

Son Of Sardaar 2 (Theatres)

Son of Sardaar 2 is an Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N.R. Pachisia and Pravin Talreja. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra, with a special mention of the late Mukul Dev, whose appearance in the film marks a posthumous release. The story revolves around a man who pretends to be a war hero to help a couple gain their parents' approval for marriage.

Saiyaara (Theatres)

Saiyaara, meaning Wandering Star, is a 2025 Indian musical romantic drama film helmed by Mohit Suri under the Yash Raj Films banner. The movie marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as the lead pair, Krish Kapoor and Vaani Batra, respectively. Krish, a troubled musician struggling with addiction and emotional turmoil, finds solace in his connection with Vaani, a shy poet.
