Pakistani singer Abrar ul Haq has recently revealed why he turned down a Bollywood film offer featuring Katrina Kaif. In a candid conversation on the Hafiz Ahmed Podcast, Abrar ul Haq shared his experience of receiving offers from India and explained his decision-making process.

According to Abrar ul Haq, he was offered a film by Eros, a prominent Indian production company, with Katrina Kaif as the lead actress. Despite his friends' excitement and encouragement to accept the offer, Abrar ul Haq declined the opportunity. He cited concerns over the contract terms, which included restrictions on speaking about Kashmir and other topics. He expressed his belief that a country that values freedom of expression should not impose such limitations.

"I received movie offers [from India]. I also received an offer for an album. But I didn't understand their contract... 'You can't speak, you can't talk about Kashmir, etc.' I thought that a country that believes in the freedom of expression shouldn't say such things. So I didn't do them," Abrar ul Haq said in Urdu during the podcast.

This isn't the first time Abrar ul Haq has made headlines regarding the Indian entertainment industry. In 2022, he announced his intention to take legal action against Karan Johar and T-Series for allegedly 'stealing' his song for the movie JugJugg Jeeyo. The song, titled The Punjaabban, appeared briefly in the film's trailer, prompting Abrar ul Haq to assert that he had not sold the rights to his song and would seek legal recourse.
