Pankaj Tripathi has been quite vocal about his work ethic and values. The actor recently shared that whether or not the movie has worked well at the box office, he managed to return the money to the producer. He shared that he always gives 100 per cent during the shoot and stays true to his craft. Tripathi was last seen playing the role of Kaleen Bhaiya in the third instalment of Prime Video’s popular web series Mirzapur.
In an interview with News18, the actor was asked about box office outcomes, he said “Not at all. If I know that I’ve given my 100 percent during the shoot and stayed true to my craft, why should I feel bad about it? I understand the box office business. Fortunately, all the films I have done, whether or not they were box office successes, have managed to return money to the producers. I know the math.”
He recalled one incident from Hindu College in Delhi, where he went for an event. He said, “There was this girl who spoke to me and said, ‘Aap aise lagte ho ke mere chacha ho.’ I smiled and said, ‘Main toh tumse pehli baar mil raha hoon aaj. Phir chacha kaise lagta hoon? (We have just met today. How do I seem like your uncle?)’ But I realized it’s through my characters that are extremely relatable.”
Pankaj Tripathi will be next seen in Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2. The movie also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Tamanna Bhatia, Rajkummar Rao, Flora Saini, Aparshakti Khurana, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee and Aakash Dabhade in key roles. The posters and trailer of the movie have been released recently. Fans are quite excited and shared their enthusiasm to watch the film on social media handles. The film is slated to release in theatres on 15th August.
