Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and superstar Pawan Kalyan recently talked about juggling his political and acting career. The actor cum politician stated that as long as he needs money he would like to act without compromising his administrative and political job. Kalyan clarified that his only source of income is cinema. For those who are unaware, the megastar will be next seen in the Telugu historical action adventure film Hari Hara Veera Mallu which will be released on May 9, 2025.
In an interview with Thanthi TV, Kalyan said “I took a lot of inspiration from Henry David Thoreau, yogis, or siddhars. You do something selflessly and work for the people…that’s what I thought. I never amassed that (wealth)…I never started any business, including film production. My only income is cinema. Because I have committed (to films) I now have to do justice.”
When he was asked about how he would manage to do that without accusations of being a part-time actor or a part-time politician Pawan Kalyan added, “A lot of leaders have their own businesses. If they could do that and also do well in politics, so can I. You have to be a passionate actor and a passionate political leader for both to work. When I was acting, I was learning about administration and reading up on public policy from the mid-90s. As long as I need money, I would like to (act). That too without compromising on my administrative and political job.”
Pawan Kalyan worked in several projects like Gabbar Singh, Kushi, Attarintiki Daredi, Bheemla Nayak, Vakeel Saab, Tholi Prema, Jalsa and Thammudu to name a few. Apart from Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan will be also seen in OG. The movie will also star Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. The release date is yet to be announced.
