Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2, directed by Mani Ratnam, has been performing exceptionally well at the box office during its second week. The movie has completed 10 days in cinemas and has crossed the Rs 150 crore (nett) mark in India. Over the weekend, the historical drama gained speed and achieved impressive figures. This is a positive development for the Ponniyin Selvan 2 crew, and the movie is expected to run in theatres for a few more weeks based on its current pace.
Released on April 28, Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 had a multi-lingual pan-India release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, and was highly anticipated by the audience.
However, the Tamil version of Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 is performing better than other versions, which are receiving a relatively tepid response. It is estimated that the movie has earned almost Rs 10 crore (nett) in India, contributing to a total collection of Rs 152.80 crore (nett) at the domestic box office over a span of 10 days. The overall occupancy for the Tamil version was 55.15 per cent.

According to reports, the Kannada dubbed version of Ponniyin Selvan made a total of Rs 25.4 lakh in 10 days. It is believed to be the top-earning Kannada dubbed film of the year.
About Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2
Ponniyin Selvan is a film based on the popular historical fiction novel with the same name authored by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The second part of the movie features an ensemble cast comprising Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha and Jayam Ravi in prominent roles.
The first part of the movie, which was a huge commercial success worldwide, grossed over Rs 500 crore at the box office. Additionally, the film features a supporting cast of Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Vikram Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, and Prabhu.
