Prachi Desai is eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming film, 'Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout,' where she plays a significant role under the direction of Aban Bharucha Deohans. Alongside prominent actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Sahil Vaid, and Vaquar Shaikh, Prachi's portrayal adds depth to the narrative. But from the starting of her career, the actress has opted for significant hiatuses from her on-screen engagements. Known for pioneering a successful career both on television and in Bollywood, she gained prominence through movies such as 'Rock On', I, Me aur Main, Bol Bachchan and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. Now, Prachi opens up about the reasons behind these intermittent breaks from the spotlight.
"Starting anew, honestly, the first day on any set of a new project feels like it's your debut in acting all over again. Despite the accumulated experience, approaching a role for the first time can feel daunting. There's this fleeting sense that you've forgotten how to act, and it happens with every single film, with every new character. Yet, this sensation keeps you alert, more engaged, and propels you to work harder with each project," Prachi told Jagran English.
She added that breaks in an actor's life don't necessarily affect how they feel on set; in fact, they can be rejuvenating, allowing for a newfound confidence and comfort. There could be various reasons for taking a break – from burnout to a lack of excitement about available roles. Returning after a hiatus brings a sense of joy and freshness, making it a whole new experience.
Talking about Covid induced break, the actress further claimed, "COVID-19 brought an unexpected break for everyone, but it also offered valuable lessons.' "Silence" marked my first film post-COVID, and it was a memorable experience, forging friendships that will last a lifetime."

About Silence 2
Directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring Sahil Vaid, Vaquar Shaikh, Dinker Sharma, and Parul Gulati. Promising an enthralling journey filled with suspense and enigma, the series is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 starting April 16th.
