Hanuman OTT Release: Telugu film 'HanuMan', featuring Teja Sajja in the lead role, premiered in cinemas on January 12, 2024, creating a massive buzz in the industry. Its impact on the box office was phenomenal, rewriting numerous records in the realm of Telugu cinema. Surpassing the Rs 350 crore mark (equivalent to around US$44 million), 'HanuMan' secured its position as the second highest-grossing Indian film of the year 2024. Moreover, within the Telugu film industry, it stood out as the top-earning production of the year, showcasing its remarkable popularity and success. Globally, it also made its mark, ranking as the eighth highest-grossing Telugu film of all time, further cementing its status as a blockbuster hit.

'HanuMan' was about to make its OTT debut on March 8, 2024, but it failed to do so. Amid continuous delay of the movie, director Prasanth Varma gave an update about its digital debut. On Monday, Varma wrote on his official X account, โ€œ#HanuMan OTT streaming date announcement is coming!โ€

According to the reports, there's a buzz that 'HanuMan' might hit streaming platforms on March 16. But, we're still waiting for an official confirmation on this. It's been said that ZEE5 will host all the regional editions of the film, catering to the South Indian audience, while JioCinema will be the platform for the Hindi version.

The story unfolds in the make-believe village of Anjanadri and marks the inception of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). In this imaginary setting of Anjanadri, the film delves into the tale of Hanumanthu, who receives the divine power of Lord Hanuman to protect the villagers. His journey intertwines with a confrontation against Michael, triggered by his encounter with a mystical gem.

'HanuMan' was formally revealed in May 2021, with filming beginning on June 25, 2021, in Hyderabad and concluding by mid-April 2023. It features music by GowraHari and Anudeep Dev, cinematography by Dasaradhi Sivendra, visual effects overseen by Venkat Kumar Jetty, and editing by Sai Babu Talari.
