The Bluff: Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to lead a gritty, R-rated pirate drama titled The Bluff. On January 7, 2026, the first official images were unveiled, showcasing a blood-soaked and battle-hardened Priyanka alongside co-star Karl Urban. The film, produced by the acclaimed Russo Brothers, is scheduled to premiere globally on Prime Video on February 25, 2026.
Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram and shared the first-look images on her social media with the caption, "Mother. Protector. Pirate. Meet Bloody Mary #TheBluff February. 25. 2026 Only on @primevideo". The announcement has already generated significant buzz, with Priyanka’s husband, singer Nick Jonas, taking to Instagram to show his support. Sharing the first-look pictures, he wrote, "Can't wait for the world to see how absolutely incredible @priyankachopra is in this movie".

About The Bluff Movie: Cast, Plot And More
The Bluff features an impressive ensemble cast. Karl Urban plays the primary antagonist, Captain Connor. A former member of the East India Trading Company and Ercell’s ex-lover, he is described as a narcissist driven by social standing. Temuera Morrison stars as Quartermaster Lee, the tactical advisor to Captain Connor. Ismael Cruz Cordova plays Ercell’s husband. Produced by AGBO (the Russo Brothers’ production house) and Priyanka herself, the film marks another major milestone in her international career.
Meanwhile, directed by Frank E. Flowers, The Bluff is set in the Caribbean during the late 1800s. Priyanka portrays Ercell Bodden, a woman desperately trying to outrun her dark past as a legendary pirate known as 'Bloody Mary.' Having settled into a quiet life to raise her family, Ercell is forced back into a world of violence when her former crew returns, seeking both stolen gold and bloody retribution. Unlike the fantastical portrayals of pirates often seen in cinema, Priyanka’s depiction is grounded in historical research. She reportedly studied the lives of real female pirates to ensure her performance felt authentic and raw.
