'Project K' has created a lot of buzz among the audience after releasing the first look of Prabhas from the film. Prabhas can be seen wearing a metal suit, sporting long hair and posing like a superhero. Fans were quick to spot the similarities between 'Project K' and 'Iron Man' posters and netizens also criticised the makers for not using any innovative idea for the poster.
The production house Vyjayanthi Movies removed and replaced the poster from Instagram and Twitter. In the new poster, Prabhas can be seen giving the same pose as the previous but the editing is different.

'Project K' will be the first Indian film to be launched at San Diego Comic-Con event on July 20. Kamal Haasan and Prabhas are already at the event with Rana Daggubati.
Talking about the launch, director Nag Ashwin said in a statement, "We are thrilled to present ‘Project K”s debut at San Diego Comic-Con. India’s storytelling tradition has ancient roots, with its epics serving as the origins for many civilizations worldwide. A world as big as this needs a platform as big to introduce it to the people. Comic-Con felt like the perfect place, where the honesty and enthusiasm needed for ‘Project K’ will be found.”
Deepika Padukone was supposed to attend the event along with Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. According to reports, Deepika will not attend the launch of 'Project K' at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the wake of the ongoing strike by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (SAG-AFTRA) in the US. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and the union has reportedly specified that actors cannot provide promotional or publicity services.
"With the SAG-AFTRA strike underway, the union has specified that actors cannot provide promotional or publicity services. That extends to appearances at conventions, such as the San Diego Comic-Con. Accordingly, as a member of SAG-AFTRA and in line with their membership regulations, Deepika Padukone will not be attending," an insider from the film industry was quoted as saying by PTI.
'Project K' will release in theatres on January 12, 2024. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani.
