Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Prosenjit Chatterjee played the lead roles in the 2003 film Chokher Bali directed by Rituparno Ghosh. The actor recently recalled that Aishwarya used to enjoy Bengali breakfast which is kachori (Bengali snack) and mithai (sweets). The Bengali superstar said that these breakfasts used to come every day. He also called the actress ‘sweet’ and Abhishek Bachchan the sweetest boy he ever met in his life. Prosenjit further recalled that every time they used to shoot there was some magic happening around.

In an interview with Mamaraazzi, Prosenjit said “Aishwarya was very good. She is very sweet. Abhishek (Bachchan) is one the sweetest boys I have met. I think he is very affectionate, very nice. Me and Ritu (Rituparno Ghosh) have done a lot of films, we were friends but we used to fight a lot on sets. In Bengali, we used to get mithai (sweets) and kachori in the morning on set. She used to eat all of those and say, ‘You are topmost hero, he is topmost director, why are you fighting?’"

“Whenever we went on the set, it was like something magic happens. She was very nice. Every moment was wonderful. We had a lot of bold and emotional scenes in Chokher Bali and everything was done well because Ritu was there,” he said.

It also starred Tota Roy Chowdhury, Radhika Apte, Lily Chakravarty, Raima Sen, Abhishek Bose, Sudeshna Roy, Avik Mukhopadhyay, Sonali Chakrabarti and Mousumi Saha in key roles.
