The Indian film industry has backed up some big-budget movies like Baahubali franchises, Kalki 2898 AD, Kantara to Devara: Part 1. A much-awaited film of the year which has been making headlines is Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. The action thriller movie is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 6, 2024. As per reports, the film has already made business of Rs 900 crore ahead of its release. The pre-release business includes 2 OTT rights and satellite rights. However, the makers of the movie are yet to comment on the digital rights of it. 

The reports also suggest that theatrical rights have been sold for Rs 650 crore. It further suggests that Netflix has acquired the digital rights of Pushpa 2. The makers have sold the rights to the popular OTT platform for a whopping amount of Rs 270 crore. The movie will be released on Netflix in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages. 

Pushpa 2: The Rule was initially scheduled to be released in theatres on August 15. But the makers earlier this year announced that some parts of the film are yet to be shot. They later revealed the date of Allu Arjun’s movie. Sukumar’s directorial is made on a budget of Rs 500 crore.

Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sritej, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Priyamani and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari in key roles.
