Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun's movie has been making waves at the box office, smashing records across languages, including Hindi. Released on December 5, the Sukumar directorial has become one of the highest-grossing films in the Hindi belt, amassing Rs 600 crore within just two weeks. Globally, the film has crossed a staggering Rs 1,500 crore, cementing its position as a cinematic phenomenon.

Despite its roaring success, the film recently faced a significant hiccup. Reports surfaced that Pushpa 2 was removed from all PVR INOX theatres in North India following a disagreement between the film’s production house, Mythri Movie Makers, and the theatre chain. On Thursday night, trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted, “BREAKING: Pushpa 2 REMOVED from all PVR INOX chains in North India from Tomorrow."

The news caused a stir among fans, who were shocked to hear that such a blockbuster could face such an issue. However, within hours, Vijayabalan shared an update revealing that the matter had been resolved. “BREAKING: Pushpa 2 PVR INOX agreement issue now resolved. Shows opening slowly one by one," he tweeted, much to the relief of moviegoers and fans of Allu Arjun.

While the theatre dispute was swiftly resolved, the film’s journey has not been without controversy. Earlier this month, Allu Arjun found himself at the centre of a tragic incident. During a promotional event at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, chaos erupted as massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the superstar and music director Devi Sri Prasad. Unfortunately, the stampede led to the death of a woman. Following the incident, Allu Arjun was arrested and placed in 14-day judicial custody. He was later granted interim bail for four weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. This tragic event has cast a shadow over the film's otherwise remarkable success.
