Pushpa 2: A leaked picture from the much-anticipated movie has taken social media by storm, fueling excitement and debate among fans. The image features Allu Arjun in character alongside Sreeleela, who appears to have been cast in a special song, initially rumoured to star Shraddha Kapoor. The Telugu action sequel, directed by Sukumar, stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa with Rashmika Mandanna reprising her role as Srivalli, building on the massive success of the first instalment, Pushpa: The Rise.

In recent weeks, speculation swirled that Shraddha Kapoor might appear in a song similar to Samantha Ruth Prabhu's viral Oo Antava number from the original film. However, fans were surprised when it was reported that Sreeleela would share the screen with Allu Arjun. Behind-the-scenes photos have shown Sreeleela in an ornate black outfit and Allu Arjun in his signature orange look, sparking lively online discussions.

Many fans are expressing excitement and disappointment over the casting switch. While Sreeleela’s debut in the franchise has generated significant buzz, Shraddha’s supporters are vocal about their wishes to see her take on the role. Comments on platforms like Reddit and X echo this sentiment, with one user remarking, “Aise looks mein Shraddha kill kar deti” (Shraddha would’ve nailed this look). Another user seemed deflated by the news, writing, “So no Shraddha.”

However, others defended the decision, arguing that Shraddha is already at a point in her career where she doesn’t need to appear in an item song, especially if her requested fee was reportedly not met. One fan mentioned, “TBH Shraddha isn’t missing out on much. She’s already popular, and if they weren’t willing to pay her what she asked, why would she agree?”

With the leaked image now out, fans are curious to see how Sreeleela’s appearance will compare to Samantha's iconic dance number from Pushpa: The Rise. While there’s no confirmation about a potential cameo from Samantha in this song, fans are looking forward to a similarly captivating performance from Sreeleela. Pushpa 2: The Rule releases in theatres on December 5, 2024.
