Tripti Dimri has been having quite a year in Bollywood! Following her breakout success as Bhabhi 2 opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Animal (2023) and her standout role in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, Tripti has firmly established herself as a versatile and beloved actor. Currently, she is basking in the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan, which has been winning over audiences. Yet, it's not just her acting skills that have the internet talking — her recent dance number in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has also sparked quite a reaction, though perhaps not in the way she intended.
In the song Mere Mehboob, Tripti showcases a glamorous side, radiating beauty in every frame. However, it seems her dance moves, particularly a hip-shimmying floor sequence, have garnered mixed responses. Some viewers, including social media sensation Uorfi Javed, found the choreography less than impressive.
Known for her bold fashion statements and candid opinions, Urfi Javed didn’t hold back when asked about Tripti’s dance performance. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Uorfi responded to a playful question about who might benefit from dance classes. She promptly mentioned Tripti, adding, “Oh my god, she's such a good actor, but that move she did… it was just so bad! Oh f***!”
Uorfi, mimicking Tripti’s dance step during the interview, continued with her critique, expressing surprise at the actor’s choice. “Why, Tripti, why? She’s such a pretty girl and a fantastic actor, but she really missed the mark with this one.”
Uorfi's remark about Tripti’s performance quickly drew mixed reactions across social media. Some netizens agreed with Uorfi, sharing that while they like Tripti as an actor, dancing might not be her strong suit. One user commented, “I mean, she’s right, Tripti really can’t dance, even though I really like her!” Another chimed in, “This is the first time I agree with her!”

However, not everyone was in agreement with Uorfi’s assessment. Some defended Tripti, highlighting that she is an actor, not necessarily a trained dancer. One such user fired back at Uorfi, “She's an actor, not a dancer. And what exactly is your job, Urfi?” Another netizen humorously pointed out, “And Uorfi should learn how to dress!” A playful comment from a fan also read, “Ranbir bhai, Uorfi has something to say about Bhabhi’s dance moves!”
Despite the mixed reviews for her dance performance, Tripti Dimri’s career continues to flourish. Her acting chops and charm have earned her an ever-growing fanbase. And while Mere Mehboob might not have struck the right chord with everyone, it’s clear Tripti remains a talent to watch, with a unique screen presence that keeps audiences coming back for more. Before she rose to fame with the 2023 movie Animal, she worked in some brilliant movies like Laila Majnu, Qala and Bulbbul.
