Pushpa 2: The Rule has been under the scanner since the stampede case that occurred on the premiere night at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4. Since then Allu Arjun has been facing a lot of allegations which he denied in a press meet. Recently, producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers donated Rs 50 lakhs to the victims. A woman named Revathi was dead during the stampede-like situation whereas her son was hospitalised. Arjun was arrested for a night on December 14 and was released the next day. 

Allu Arjun’s residence in Jubilee Hills was attacked by protestors on December 20, 2024. His children were evacuated after the incident. On December 23, Pushpa 2 producer Naveen Yerneni shared his condolence to the victim’s family at a press conference. He said, “It's very unfortunate what happened. We've felt bad about it since it happened and we couldn't express our feelings. Revathi's death is a huge loss to her family. Doctors are doing there best to help the boy recover. We want to support the family.”

At the same event, Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy accompanied the producers of Pushpa 2, where they gave a cheque of Rs 50 lakhs to Revathi’s family.  

Earlier, Allu Arjun said at the press conference, “It was a tragic accident, and my heart goes out to the family. I’ve been monitoring the condition of the injured child, and I’m relieved to hear he is improving. There has been a lot of misinformation and false allegations. I do not wish to blame any department or politician. This is deeply distressing for me.” 

“I have worked in the film industry for 20 years, and this incident has been devastating. I haven’t even watched my film in the theatre despite working on it for three years. I deeply apologise for the incident but want to clarify that I had no direct involvement in the unfortunate events,” he added. 

Pushpa 2 was released in theatres on December 5. It also starred Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sritej, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari in key roles.
