Pushpa 2: The Rule's release date, which stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is set for December 5, 2024. The Telangana government approved extra shows and higher ticket costs for the eagerly awaited Pushpa sequel on Friday, November 29. Moviegoers have criticized the decision to permit higher ticket pricing for Pushpa 2, with many internet users questioning the decision on social media.
For the unversed, the government has approved extra shows for the Allu Arjun film, which will begin at 9:30 PM on December 4 in all theatres with a significant increase in ticket prices of Rs 800. Furthermore, on December 5, additional shows will be shown at 1 AM and 4 AM, increasing the daily total to seven shows in Telangana theatres. During these special screenings, the ticket price increase is Rs 150 for single screens and Rs 200 for multiplexes.

Pushpa 2 Price Hike Draws Flake
Following the hike, strong reactions came from Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's fans. One of the users wrote, "Loved the way you performed in Pushpa @alluarjun garu & was super thrilled when you won the national award, but I truly feel the ticket price to be exorbitant irrespective of my ability to spend or my liking towards you. ATB for Pushpa 2 sir."
Another user wrote, "Firstly of all, I don’t think Pushpa 2 needs hikes. The budget itself is very low compared to any other Pan-indian movies. I don’t understand what made producers go and ask govt. for ticket prices hike. It clearly seen that they are aiming to hit 1000cr no matter what. But this practice will affect all small movies because if a family decides to see any big movie by catering huge amount. So the next upcoming movies theatres will go empty."
The third user said, "Rates increase will get you less people coming to theaters and more people waiting for ott release." The fourth user wrote, "When hero takes 300 Cr remuneration & paid PR promotes it as highest remuneration, this is what they do loot audience in the name sequel hype. The production cost is 100 Cr less than Kalki and RRR but price hikes are Rs 100 more."
Without a doubt, Pushpa 2: The Rule is the most anticipated Indian movie of the year. The popularity of the first part throughout India is undeniable, especially considering its success in the Hindi belt. As a result, most places charge premium fees. With the aim of obtaining at least Rs 200 crore in net receipts from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, this calculated strategy is anticipated to create spectacular opportunities.
The previous high-priced ticket costs for Telugu films such as Kalki 2898 AD, Salaar, and Devara ranged from Rs 395 to Rs 495. But by charging a record-breaking Rs 600 for tickets, Pushpa 2: The Rule sets a new precedent.
