Pushpa 2 Premiere: A woman lost her life in a sad incident that occurred during the Hyderabad premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, leaving her kid critical. Mayhem broke out when actor Allu Arjun arrived to meet fans at the Sandhya Theatre, RTC Crossroads, late on Wednesday night. Mythri Movie Makers, the production house, released a statement expressing their concern hours after the tragic incident.
The makers of Pushpa 2 promised to support the family while her critically ill son receives treatment at a Hyderabad hospital. "We are extremely heartbroken by the tragic incident during last night’s screening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and the young child undergoing medical treatment. We are committed to standing by them and extending all possible support during this difficult time. With deep sorrow, Mythri Movie Makers, " read the official statement."
What Happened At Pushpa 2 Hyderabad Premiere?
The 39-year-old Dilsukhnagar resident Revathi, her husband Bhaskar, and their two kids, Sri Tej, 9, and Sanvika, 7, attended the Pushpa 2 premiere at the Sandhya 70mm theatre on RTC Crossroads.

Things got chaotic when fans hurried inside the auditorium in a hurry to get a glimpse of Allu Arjun as soon as he arrived. Revathi and her son Sri Tej passed out during the ensuing stampede. They were taken right away by the police to Vidyanagar's Durga Bhai Deshmukh Hospital. While Sri Tej was admitted to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet due to his serious condition, Revathi was pronounced dead upon arrival.

According to PTI, the theatre's administration made no preparations or provided any advance notice regarding the actor's and other cast members' presence.
Following the screening, Allu Arjun was spotted leaving the location while being closely watched by cops. From the sunroof, he waved to fans for a moment, asking them to move aside so that cars could pass.
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2: The Rule was globally released on December 5, 2024, Thursday. It is the follow-up to the 2021 movie and features Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, in addition to Allu Arjun. The movie has made Rs 100 crore in advance sales on its first day and is showing on more than 21,000 screens in India.
