Rashmika Mandanna, who is basking in the success of her film Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, is embarking on her next venture. The actress is all set to commence shooting for the blockbuster franchise 'Pushpa 2: The Rule.' She will start shooting for the highly anticipated film on December 13 in Hyderabad. Rashmika is slated to reprise her memorable role as Srivalli alongside Allu Arjun in the blockbuster franchise.

Rashmika Mandanna To shoot for Pushpa 2

According ton reports, Rashmika will kick off filming for 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' on December 13 in Hyderabad, reprising her renowned role as Srivalli in this highly ambitious project. "Rashmika Mandanna is extremely happy with the love and praise she is receiving for the film Animal. Immediately after the massive success of Animal, Rashmika will begin the shoot for the highly ambitious and blockbuster franchise Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 13th in Hyderabad. The actress will be reprising her iconic role of Srivali in the film starring Allu Arjun," reports stated.

This comes after a report by HT revealed a delay in the shooting schedule of 'Pushpa 2,' attributed to Allu Arjun's severe back pain. Initially, while filming a song and intense fight sequence in his 'jatara get-up,' Allu Arjun experienced significant discomfort due to the costume and demanding scenes, resulting in severe back pain. Despite his willingness to continue shooting, the director, Sukumar, opted for a hiatus to prioritise actor's health. The report indicated that shooting would resume once the actor fully recovers, ensuring his well-being before recommencing filming.

About Pushpa

Directed and penned by Sukumar, 'Pushpa: The Rise,' released in 2021, emerged as a blockbuster. The action-packed drama revolved around the illegal trade of red sandalwood. The film's gripping dialogues, compelling storyline, and music captivated audiences nationwide. Allu Arjun's portrayal of Pushparaj resonated deeply, transcending language barriers and societal strata, creating an iconic character in Indian cinema history.

Its release in theaters on December 17, 2021, broke barriers of geography, language, and social class, connecting profoundly with diverse audiences. Logline for the movie reads, "Violence erupts between red sandalwood smugglers and the police charged with bringing down their organisation in the Seshachalam forests of South India." After extending its theatrical run and getting amazing responses at the Box Office, the Hindi version of the movie also marked its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video.
