Raayan Box Office Prediction: Dhanush's highly anticipated 50th movie, Raayan, which marks a significant milestone in his career, has made a resounding impact at the global box office, debuting to a phenomenal response on July 26. Not only does this film hold special significance as Dhanush's milestone project, but it also boasts the added prestige of being directed by the actor himself. As the movie hit the theatres today,

According to a report by Filmibeat, Raayan is predicted to earn Rs 5 crore in India on its opening day, with a potential worldwide total of Rs 10 crore. If word-of-mouth boosts momentum, the film may reach Rs 100 crore in its opening weekend. 

Raayan marks Dhanush’s second directorial venture after Pa Paandi, which released in 2017. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, Raayan stars Dhanush alongside a talented ensemble cast, including S.J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, and others, promising a dynamic and exciting cinematic experience.

The film Raayan revolves around the life of Kaartavaraayan, fondly referred to as Raayan, played by Dhanush, who shares a deep bond with his siblings, comprising brothers Muthuvelaraayan and Maanikyaraayam, portrayed by Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram respectively, as well as his sister Duraga, essayed by Dushara Vijayan. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Muthuvelaraayan becomes embroiled in a violent altercation with the henchmen of a notorious gangster named Dorai, acted by Sravanan, leading to severe repercussions. Meanwhile, another gangster, Sethuram, played by SJ Suryah, emerges with a sinister motive to eliminate Raayan, leaving the audience wondering about the underlying reasons driving Sethuram's murderous intentions. As the story unfolds, viewers are taken on a journey to discover the fate of Muthuvelaraayan, the true identity and significance of Raayan, and the intricate web of events that shape the plot of the movie Raayan.


Raayan was initially slated for a June 13, 2024, release. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the movie's launch was delayed, leaving fans eagerly awaiting a new release date. Fortunately, the wait came to an end when Raayan finally hit the theatres today, serendipitously coinciding with the week of Dhanush's birthday.
