Raid 2: Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh is set to step into the shoes of the antagonist in the upcoming film 'Raid 2,' starring Ajay Devgn. The news was shared by Ajay himself on social media, accompanied by a candid image featuring the lead actors. The shared image captures a moment of camaraderie between Ajay Devgn, Ravi Teja, and the newly announced villain, Riteish Deshmukh. The caption reads, "Brothers by bond, rivals by choice! Riteish, known for his versatile acting, is no stranger to playing negative roles and is poised to bring his unique touch to the character in 'Raid 2.' This marks the first on-screen clash between Riteish and Ajay, who have previously collaborated in the realm of hilarious comedy films. The shooting for 'Raid 2' commenced in Mumbai last week, with plans for extensive filming in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The sequel is helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also directed the first instalment. The film is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios.
'Raid,' the predecessor to the upcoming film, hit the screens in 2018 and received acclaim for its gripping narrative. The movie, also starring Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D'Cruz, delves into a real-life raid conducted by the Income Tax Department during the 1980s. Ileana portrayed Ajay's wife in the film. The much-anticipated 'Raid 2' is expected to deliver a power-packed storyline with the clash between Ajay Devgn's character and Riteish Deshmukh's villainous persona at its core. Fans are eagerly awaiting the theatrical release scheduled for November 15, eager to witness this intense cinematic showdown.
