Rajpal Yadav’s father Naurang Yadav passed away at AIIMS, Delhi on January 24. The news of his father’s demise comes a day after returns to the city from Thailand. As per reports, Naurang Yadav was unwell for the past few days before his demise. Rajpal, who was last seen in Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, was reportedly shooting for his upcoming movie. After hearing the news of his father’s ill health, the actor rushed back to Delhi.
In an official statement, Rajpal said "Saathiyon, aaj humari energy, humari shakti, humare jeevan ke yodha, humare pujya pita, aaj nahin hai hum logon ke beech me shaaririk roop se (Friends, today my energy, my power, the warrior of my life, my revered father, is not physically present among us). Lekin unka aashirwad aur unse li hui jeevan me prerna, woh sadaa humare sath hi hai (But his blessings and inspiration taken from him in life are always with us). I love you all. Aap sab ke aashirwad ke liye bahut, bahut dhanyawaad (Thank you very much for all your blessings)."
Rajpal Yadav was close to his father and it was quite evident from his social media posts. In 2018, the actor took to X and wrote a note where he mentioned that his father was a driving force in his life. He tweeted with a caption, “My father has been the biggest driving force in my life. If it wasn't for your belief in me, I would not be where I am today. Thank you for being my father, I love you.”

Recently, the Baby John actor also made headlines for receiving threats. Rajpal Yadav along with Kapil Sharma, Remo D’Souza and Sugandha Mishra were reportedly threatened via an email. As per reports, the threat came from Pakistan in an email under the name of ‘Bishnu’ and the ID 'Don'. Yadav also reacted to the threat and said in a statement where he said that as an actor his job is to entertain people and not to talk on this matter. As quoted by IANS, Yadav said, “I have informed both the Amboli police station and cybercrime department. After that, I haven’t spoken to anyone. In fact, it’s not my job to talk about this incident when I don’t know anything about it. I am an actor and I try to entertain people of all ages- young and old, through my work. I don’t want to say anything more than this. Whatever needs to be said about this matter, the agencies are capable of providing the information. I have shared the details I was aware of.”
