Rakesh Bedi has been receiving praise for his role in Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The film continues to break records and a 12-year-old video of Rakesh calling himself Dhurandhar on TV has resurfaced, with fans joking that he may have predicted his role in the film. On Saturday, an Instagram user shared a throwback video featuring Rakesh Bedi from the popular television series Qubool Hai.
The show, which starred Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti in the lead roles, showcased Rakesh in a recurring role as an official determined to deport Surbhi’s character, Zoya Faruqui. His appearances were limited to a few episodes, primarily during the storyline involving Zoya and Asad’s fake engagement, but they left a memorable impression on fans who enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot.
In the now-viral clip, Rakesh Bedi warns Zoya, "Neither tears, money, political pressure, nor your drama affects Dhurandhar Watavdekar." The video caption playfully noted, "He called himself a Dhurandhar back then, but no one believed him."
The clip triggered hilarious fan reactions, with comments joking that Rakesh “manifested the peak,” called Qubool Hai a prequel to Dhurandhar and dubbed him the “real Dhurandhar all along,” praising the uncanny foreshadowing.
