Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya Sawant passed away on Saturday. According to ETimes, the TV personality said, "Maa ab Nahi rahi." She stated that it was a multi-organ failure and she was very critical as the cancer spread to the kidneys and the lungs. The actress also broke down into tears while speaking to the publication.
For the previous three years, Rakhi's mother had been battling the fatal illness. Rakhi frequently posted on social media about her mother's treatment. She frequently discussed her mother's health in interviews with the media. She also mentioned numerous times how Salman Khan always offered assistance and inquired about her unwell mother.
Recently, Bigg Boss star shared a video on her Instagram handle which saw her speaking about her mother's health. Rakhi said in the clip, "Hi everyone, I came out from Bigg Boss Marathi Season 4 last night. (Got to know) My mom is not well, she is in hospital. Please pray for her, she is not feeling her best. She is fighting a battle with cancer. We just came to know that she has brain tumour with cancer." Watch the video here:

She also got emotional while speaking to the media as she visited her mother in the hospital. "I am heartbroken beyond expression. I hope no one suffers so much," said Rakhi, as evident from the video.

It is pertinent Rakhi Sawant recently participated in Bigg Boss Marathi 4. Though she didn't won, she took the briefcase of Rs 9 lakh and left the race in between. Akshay Kelkar lifted the trophy of the show and received prize money of Rs. 15,55,000, a gold necklace set from the sponsors. He also received Rs 5 lakh from the sponsors for being the 'Best Captain' of the house.
