In the run-up to the Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Pawan Kalyan formed alliances with the BJP and Chandrababu Naidu's TDP. As part of the seat-sharing arrangement among the NDA partners, TDP was allotted 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, while the BJP contested six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats. In this arrangement, Jana Sena contested two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats, marking a significant step in Kalyan's political career.
For the unversed, Pawan Kalyan made his foray into politics back in 2008 when he took charge of the youth wing of the Praja Rajyam Party, known as Yuvarajyam. However, his political journey faced a setback due to health issues, prompting him to take a hiatus from his political activities. In 2014, he re-emerged on the political scene, founding his own party named the Jana Sena Party (JSP).
Pawan Kalyan's work front
Pawan Kalyan's next venture is the Telugu epic action-adventure "Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit". Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, this period saga stars Bobby Deol, Nidhi Agerwal, Nora Fatehi, and Vikramjeet Virk in pivotal roles.
