Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s latest film, Game Changer, has become a victim of piracy within days of its theatrical release. Reports suggest that a pirated version of the political thriller was aired on a local television channel and screenshots of the illegal broadcast are now circulating online.

Producer Sreenivas Kumar, popularly known as SKN, has expressed his outrage over the incident and called for strict measures to combat piracy. Taking to his social media platform X (formerly Twitter), SKN highlighted the alarming situation. He shared a post showing images of Game Changer being telecast on local cable channels and even on buses.

In his post, SKN stated, “This is unacceptable. A film that was released just 4-5 days ago being telecasted on local cable channels & buses raises serious concerns. Cinema is not just about the Hero, director or producers – it’s the result of 3-4 years of hard work, dedication, and the dreams of thousands of people.”

SKN emphasized the negative impact of such actions on distributors and exhibitors. He urged the government to take immediate and firm action to protect the livelihoods of those involved in the film industry. He wrote, “Think about the impact on distributors and exhibitors whose livelihoods depend on the success of these films. Such actions undermine their efforts and threaten the future of the film industry. Let’s all unite and stand firm to protect and ensure a better future for cinema.”

This is not the first time Game Changer has faced piracy troubles. Even before its release, an HD print of the film was leaked online, revealing crucial plot points. Producer Dil Raju had filed a complaint with cyber police against those responsible, alleging that the pirates had attempted to extort money before leaking the film.

Despite the challenges, Game Changer, which was released on January 10, opened strongly at the box office and has crossed Rs 100 crores in India. The film, directed by Shankar, has received mixed to positive reviews but continues to face hurdles due to piracy.
