Ramayana is among the most awaited films of 2026, and excitement around the epic has grown even stronger after a major update from producer Namit Malhotra. On the occasion of Ram Navami, celebrated on March 27 this year, Malhotra shared a heartfelt note on social media, along with an important announcement about the film’s next reveal. He confirmed that a special glimpse titled ‘Rama’ will be launched on April 2, marking the auspicious festival of Hanuman Jayanti.
In his message, Namit Malhotra described Ramayana as a story that belongs to everyone and said the team has worked with great care, devotion and responsibility to bring it to life on a grand scale. He also revealed that the upcoming glimpse will be part of a grand world reveal with fans, making it a global celebration rather than just a regular promotional launch.

Ramayana is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is envisioned as a large-scale cinematic spectacle that combines powerful storytelling with advanced technology. Set nearly 5,000 years ago, Ramayana is more than just a mythological tale. It remains an important part of Indian heritage and continues to connect with audiences across generations. The film’s first look had already created a massive buzz, with launches held across multiple cities in India and even a showcase at Times Square, highlighting its global ambition.
The cast of the film has also added to the anticipation. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi plays Sita. Yash takes on the role of Ravana, alongside Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Produced by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, the film will be released in two parts. Part 1 is scheduled for Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027, with a worldwide IMAX release planned.
