Rana Daggubati will star in the Netflix show 'Rana Naidu' which will release on March 10. The actor will share the screen with his uncle Venkatesh Daggubati for the first time. During an interview with The Indian Express, Rana Daggubati talked about the domination of the Telugu film industry on the Hindi cinema. He also shared his fun interaction when his friend did not know about Prabhas and Mahesh Babu.
Rana Daggubati also revealed that his friend only knew Mahesh Babu as Namrata Shirodkar's husband. “I was away for a few years while filming for Baahubali, so when I met this friend, I told him about the film. When he asked who was playing the titular role, I said Prabhas, and he was like ‘Who’s Prabhas?’ I didn’t know how to explain that to him so told him the names of his few films," he told The Indian Express.
"He had not watched any of those films and then he told me something really crazy. He said the only Telugu actor I know is Chinu’s husband. I was wondering what he meant and then I realised that Chinu was Namrata Shirodkar. I was shocked that they knew of Mahesh Babu in that sense. I told him just wait for four-five years, and an army of us will land up here,” he further added.
The trailer of Rana Naidu was released in February 2023. Sharing the trailer, Netflix India wrote, "He operates in the shadows, but now, a shadow from his past is about to return and shake his world to its core! Watch this action-packed saga unfold in #RanaNaidu on March 10!"

Directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, Rana Naidu also stars Suvreen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Suchitra Pillai, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi and Rajesh Jais. Rana Naidu is an official adaptation of the show 'Ray Donovan'.
