Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar was highly appreciated by the audience and the critics. The 2011 is still remembered as one of the cult movies of Indian Cinema. The album of the film was equally hit. A recent BTS video of Ranbir, who is in his character Jordan singing on the streets went viral on social media. It created a buzz online as the actor can be seen actually singing Jo Bhi Main loudly and playing the guitar. The video was posted with a header which read, ‘So you are telling Jordan doesn’t sound like Mohit Chauhan?’ 

Netizens Reactions

As the video went viral on Instagram, fans started appreciating the actor. A user wrote, “Acting so good, we always thought he is actually singing.” Another user said “He is an "actor”, he has to act, that’s what he is doing and very good at it. It’s not that hard to understand.” A comment read, “As an actor, he executed the scene flawlessly, despite not knowing how to sing. It’s impressive both then and now. Thanks for sharing the behind-the-scenes footage..” Another fan wrote, “He is an actor not a singer to look real he is singing not lip syncing it.” 

Rockstar was released in theatres in 2011. The movie also stars Nargis Fakhri, Shammi Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Piyush Mishra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Kumud Mishra, Sanjana Sanghi and Shernaz Patel in key roles. The film is currently streaming on Prime Video, Zee5 and JioCinema. 

Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The movie also stars Sunny Deol, Yash, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey in key roles. The magnum opus is scheduled to be released in theatres in 2025.
