Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming Sci-fi action thriller movie The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) has been breaking all the records in several sections. Now, it has created a history as it was featured on the iconic Leicester Square in London on September 3. The news was announced by the makers of the film. It turned out to be the first-ever South Indian movie to get featured on the prestigious screen. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on September 5. As per reports, the movie earned USD 1.5 million in overseas markets. In Indian markets, the movie earned Rs 9.80 crores from day one ticket sales.
The makers of GOAT wrote on X, “London, witness history! In the movie, Vijay will be seen playing dual roles first as a man named Gandhi who is a special agent in the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS) and then as his son. As per reports, the movie is based on the 2004 Moscow Metro Bombing. It also stars Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva and Mohan in key roles. The movie has been directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Earlier in an interview with India Today, Venkat Prabhu talked about his working experience with Vijay in the movie. He said “It was very scary at first to direct a person like Vijay. But, he made it simple and easy for me. He made it very comfortable for everyone. It was a fun one year. We traveled across the globe. We went to Los Angeles, Russia, Tunisia, and Africa as the script is an espionage spy thriller. It was a fun and exciting ride.”
