Randeep Hooda Calls Oppenheimer A 'Propaganda Film', Says 'That Man Built Atomic Bomb...'

Oppenheimer is a massive hit of the year 2023, but according to actor Randeep Hooda, it is a ‘propaganda film’. The movie stars actor Cillian Murphy in the titular role. ‘Oppenheimer’ earned an impressive $964 million globally, making it the third highest-earning movie of 2023. Additionally, it holds the titles of the highest-grossing World War II-themed film, the top-grossing biographical film, and the second highest-grossing R-rated movie.

'Oppenheimer Is A Propaganda Film': Randeep Hooda

In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Randeep Hooda said, “America made Oppenheimer. That man built the atomic bomb. It was such a painful incident… in Japan, civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki detonated the bomb at night. America is the good guy. What did they do in Vietnam? Their movies are propaganda, their movies tell the entire world that ‘we are the best army, we are the good guys. Japanese, Germans are bad and history also has the same thing, because they have written history.”

He went on to state, “He added, “But this is not true. They even say that aliens always come to America. Aliens can only spot America. They made pictures of their heroes like Oppenheimer, Truman and the world watches them. We are always trying to demean our heroes because of their political agenda.”

On the professional front, Randeep Hooda’s 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' recently hit the theatres. The movie also stars Ankita Lokhande in a pivotal role. Some people have criticised the film for changing historical facts and for only presenting one perspective, but it has been praised for the great performances by its actors.
