Randeep Hooda's menacing antagonist avatar in the upcoming crime action thriller movie Jaat starring Sunny Deol has left fans surprised. His impressive transformation for the role Ranatunga has been the talk of the discussion ever since his first look was unveiled. His involvement in the cast of much-awaited movies of the year has added an exciting twist. Gopichand Malineni directorial promises to be filled with an intense sequence with a blend of gripping narrative and mesmerizing cinematic experience in store.

Randeep Hooda, who has donned several complex characters in his career, the actor revealed that Ranatunga is such a kind of brutal role that even shocked him. He said in a statement that read, “I’ve played dark and layered characters before, but Ranatunga is pure evil. He’s violent, unhinged, and operates with a kind of brutality that even shocked me while performing it."

Talking about the film, the actor added, "Jaat is a film that dives into a world of raw, unapologetic crime, and my character sits at the center of that storm. I think out director Gopichand Malineni was so very clear about how he envisioned this character and I completely took on what he has imagined for this role".

Randeep Hooda has given mind-blowing and impactful performance in movies including Highway, Sarbjit, Main Aur Charles, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar and others. He has shown his acting prowess since his acting debut in 2001 in Mira Nair's critically acclaimed movie Monsoon Wedding.

About Jaat movie

This movie marks the directorial debut of Gopichand Malineni in Bollywood. Besides Randeep Hooda and Sunny Deol, the film also features big names from the industry including Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra in key roles. The film is scheduled for a big release on Baisakhi, April 10, 2025. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory.
