YouTuber and entrepreneur Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as BeerBiceps, has issued a public apology after facing backlash for making obscene jokes on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. In a video statement shared on social media, Ranveer admitted to his mistake, calling it a “lapse in judgment,” and vowed to use his platform more responsibly in the future.

In his video, Ranveer acknowledged that comedy isn’t his strength and accepted full responsibility for his remarks. “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m just here to say sorry,” he said, adding that he does not wish to use his platform in such a manner.

He further stated, “I had a lapse in judgment. The podcast is watched by people of all ages, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would ever disrespect.”

Ranveer also mentioned that he has requested the show’s makers to remove the insensitive sections from the episode. “I promise to get better. I hope you can forgive me as a human being,” he concluded.

Despite his apology, many social media users have expressed their disapproval, with some even calling for a boycott. The controversy has also ignited discussions about content regulation on OTT platforms.

The backlash intensified after it was revealed that Ranveer while appearing as a judge on the show alongside Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), had posed an offensive question to a contestant. He asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or would you join in once and stop it forever?” The remark was widely criticized, with many calling it inappropriate and distasteful.

Following the uproar, a complaint was filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and India’s Got Latent for allegedly using abusive language on the show, according to news agency ANI.

Several celebrities and politicians have reacted to the controversy, demanding action against those responsible. The incident has once again raised concerns over the kind of content being promoted in digital entertainment spaces.
