Ranvir Shorey, who recently was the second runner-up on Bigg Boss OTT 3, has shared personal and unsettling details about his past. The actor revealed that after his breakup with actor Pooja Bhatt, he was physically attacked by her brother. Additionally, Ranvir accused Pooja's father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt of fabricating false stories about him.

Ranvir and Pooja, once close friends before their romance, experienced a highly publicised breakup. Pooja had alleged both physical and verbal abuse, claims that Ranvir strongly refutes. Ranvir told Siddharth Kannan, "At the time we had a conflict, I felt that the respect I had for him, he used that manipulatively. When the fight happened, he told my father, 'Ok, we will rest the matter here, whatever the fight happened between the kids.’ Next day, he proceeded to print utter lies about me, planted false stories in the media against me, painting me as an alcoholic abusive person. All lies!"

When questioned whether the conflict was just between him and Pooja Bhatt, Ranvir Shorey revealed, "Her brother was the one, who assaulted me. Mahesh Bhatt could have told these guys not to talk like that…. In that sense I felt he was manipulative towards me. These are all 25 years old stories, I don’t want to get into them now."

Pooja Bhatt had previously accused Ranvir Shorey of becoming 'violent' and physically abusive when intoxicated. Later, Ranvir married actress Konkona Sen Sharma, with whom he shares a son, Haroon, born in 2011. The couple separated in 2015. Meanwhile, Pooja Bhatt married Manish Makhija in 2013, but they divorced a year later.
